Ingredients
  • 1tbsp sea salt
  • 16tbsp sesame seedspreviously washed
Instructions
  1. In a frying pan*, pour the sea salt and let it toast in medium heat until its color becomes more gray and it’s harder. Remove from the heat and set aside in a mortar or suribashi.
  2. Then pour the sesame seeds into the pan and toast it until it begins to release aroma and jump out of the pan. Make sure it’s not too dark and their taste changed.
  3. Combine the toasted seeds with the salt and grind it, turning until a good part of the seeds are in powder.
  4. Store in a glass pot and use to season your meals. You’ll see that it’ll be a huge success! 😉
Recipe Notes

* Avoid the use of teflon and use stainless steel or cast iron instead.

In case you’re using gomasio as a home remedy, you can have it with warm water or bancha tea.
